Craigtoun Meadows is a family owned, 5 star Holiday Park, 1.5 miles from the centre of historic St Andrews, home to the oldest University in Scotland and known internationally as the ‘Home of Golf’. The park is in a woodland setting on the edge of St Andrews, which can be reached via a path which follows the Lade Braes woodland walk to the centre of town and the local shops. We are located next to the Dukes Golf Course and Craigtoun Country Park, which is a ‘must visit’ for children.
The famous ‘Old Course’ is 2 miles from our entrance as is the West Sands beach, almost 2 miles of uninterrupted sand, backed with dunes, famous for the opening scenes in the film Chariots of Fire.
On 4 separate occasions since opening Craigtoun Meadows has won the prestigious AA Campsite of the Year for Scotland recognising the hard work put in by staff.
The park offers 54 Touring pitches, 4 glamping pods , 4 Eden hire lodges and 18 caravan holiday homes. One of the holiday homes is wheelchair accessible. In addition, there are 180 privately owned holiday homes onsite and the park is currently undergoing an expansion programme and will be opening an exclusive new lodge development in 2021.
As well as the substantial play area, there are 2 small play areas within our Touring area. The staff at Craigtoun Meadows take pride in the park being a friendly, family orientated base for exploring the surrounding area of North East Fife. We welcome back many families year in, year out, so if you haven’t been before, why not have a look and get in touch!
